Also this weekend is the annual Berkeley Kite Festival! For the past 29 years the festival has developed a reputation as one of the premiere free family events on the West Coast. With free kite making workshops, food, arts and crafts, a kids’ zone, GIANT kites, live music, and Taiko drummers, this is a festival with something for everyone. The festival runs from Saturday July 26 – Sunday July 27, 10 am – 6 pm. Held at the Berkeley Marina, there are free shuttles available from Golden Gate Fields. So bring a favorite kite to fly, a picnic blanket to lay on while you gaze up at the sky, and get ready for some fun!  berkeley-kite-festival-san-francisco-bay-area-photography-4
