may dayThis May newsletter brings with it the last weeks of our school year.  As some of our little chicks get ready to leave the nest of Grace and head off to Kindergarten, it is a wonderful opportunity for reflection.  Whether you will be returning next year, or “graduating” on to the next stage of your child’s development, take time to enjoy this final month of preschool.

Treasure the moments that you get to spend in the classroom, and enjoy the memories of the activities we have experienced this year as you create your child’s Me and My Friends book, and create new memories at the special events that we have coming up.  Remember that there are many ways to stay connected to the Grace community during the summer, through summer park play dates and summer social events.

If you are moving on to kindergarten, please remember to come back and visit!  Alumni are always welcome at many of our events, including Twilight Parade, Pancake Breakfast, Family Camp, and Earth Day.

DSC00438(1)What a wonderful day Earth Day!  All of the hard work of the Earth Day committee paid off, as children, families and guests enjoyed singing, crafts, meeting animal friends, and planting.  Everyone shared in the spirit of conservation, and taking care of the world around us.  Thank you to Jungle James, who generously shared his animals with all of the children! Please join us at Family Camp, where you can hike, sing around the campfire, craft, climb on a huge cargo net, swim, roast marshmallows, eat s’mores, and show off your favorite songs, tricks, and skills at the second annual family camp variety show.  Lets-Go-Camping-from-Starling-Travel

Even if you can’t make Family Camp, we still have the end of the year picnic, on June 1, at Rudgear Park.  BBQ, spend time with Grace friends, and enjoy crafts.  And remember to keep your eyes open for summer activities, including park play dates, summer camp, and summer social events.
