All the children were invited help take part in planting two new trees in our school’s front courtyard.
Our 2nd annual Earth Day Celebration was a fun and festive day for all! The children started off by singing at the morning service at Grace Presbyterian Church, eliciting smiles with their renditions of “Skid-a-ma-rink”, “It’s a Small World”, and “Everybody’s Got to Grow”. We then took the activity out to the back yard, where there were arts and crafts, info tables, and a chance to meet some amazing animals with Jungle James! We finished off the day with a tree planting ceremony at the front of the school. Many thanks to our teachers and Earth Day committee members for putting together such a great event!

Learning about ‘vermiculture’ (a fancy word for worm helpers in the garden!). Adventurous volunteers helped to dig for red wigglers in our worm bin and look at silkworms under a magnifying glass.
